An insect hotel for our bees and other insects

The new insect hotel for bees and other useful insects.

As part of our ongoing efforts towards sustainability and social responsibility (CSR), another project has been realized here at Fette Compacting: the construction of an insect hotel on our company site. This project is a further step to underline our commitment to environmental protection and the preservation of biodiversity.

Insect hotels offer bees and other important insects such as ladybugs, lacewings and earwigs a protected refuge. They not only serve as a shelter, but also as a breeding ground and winter quarters for these important insect pollinators. In times when insect extinction poses a serious threat to our ecosystems, it is of great importance to create such habitats.

Over the past few weeks, we have built an insect hotel under the guidance of an experienced beekeeper and with the active support of our apprentices. During the planning and construction phase, we made sure that the needs of the various insect species were taken into account. The hotel is optimally equipped and located in a sheltered spot on our site, which is surrounded by a flower meadow and has a favorable south-east orientation.

This project underlines how Fette Compacting assumes responsibility in a variety of ways - both towards our employees and the local community as well as towards the environment. The protection and promotion of biodiversity are important components of our CSR strategy. The insect hotel is a vivid example of how we take concrete measures to make our contribution to environmental protection.

We are proud of the commitment of our apprentices and would like to thank them for their efforts. Thanks to their help, we were able to make an important contribution to the protection of bees and other insects that are essential for the balance of our natural world.
